1981. 30" x 20". Graphite and pastels on illustration board, signed and dated by Abbott on the lower right corner; some dampstaining to the right side--the style and colors makes this staining less evident than it might otherwise be. An engaging drawing. Abbott is a prominent Virginia architect in Williamsburg and responsible for many notable Virginia buildings--visitors centers in Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Virginia Beach; the Mariner's Museum; the Appomattox site of Museum of the Confederacy among others. AIA Virginia exhibited his art in 2012.
