Los Angeles: Universal Pictures, 1929. An original herald pamphlet for the silent film classic ‘Show Boat’ written by Edna Ferber, directed by Harry A. Pollard, starring Laura La Plante and Joseph Schildkraut. Paperbound, 3 1/2” x 6”. Illustrated with drawings and scenes from the film. Crease from folding, else a very good lightly used copy with a hint of dust soiling in printed wrappers. The film was a mostly silent adaptation of Edna Ferber’s original novel with some songs by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II added from their musical stage production.
