The present images are an extraordinary pair of photographs, one from a near face-on p.o.v., the other from right profile, of a large group of Zulu tribesmen, in warrior regalia, seated and watching a motion picture (in the first of the images the 16mm projector is visible in the background). Boston: New York Graphic Society, 1974. Original gelatin silver print photograph (31 x 23 cm), printed by Adams from the negative. Dry mounted on archival board (42 x 34 cm). Fine. Print number 169 of 1000 numbered prints (500 numbered in Roman, 500 in Arabic), signed by Adams on the mount, and with certificate of limitation and technical details on verso. Published to accompany the deluxe, limited issue of IMAGES 1923 - 1974, of which a copy is present, also numbered '169' and signed on the colophon by Adams. The book is blemished, as at some point early on a previous owner excised the front free endsheet, quite likely to remove a presentation inscription, taking with it a significant area of the surface of the pastedown. It is otherwise very good and sound in dust jacket, with both enclosed in a somewhat faded and rubbed half calf oblong folio clamshell box, with the two short joints of the top lid at the fore-edge broken. In other words, a beautiful, virtually untouched copy of the signed print, with a flawed copy of the book tagging along.

Meadville, PA: Keystone View Company. Good. Stereoview. Set of three stereoviews depicting different locations in Utah. All produced by the Keystone View Company, appearing to come from two different boxed sets. No date is printed. Two in color come from one set and the other in black and white is from a different set. All are mounted on grey boards with black lettering. All are in good condition with a large curve to the mounts and slight wear to edges. Images are crisp. The two color photos are titled "Lobby at Zion Lodge Center, Zion Nat. Park, Utah" (UP 29448) and "Cedar Breaks Pavilion, Cedar Breaks, Utah" (UP 29453). The image in black and white is titled "The Lodge at Bryce Canyon, Utah" (29044). .
