It deals with Japanese holidays, samurai, geisha's, the seppuku (harakiri) and more. This work can be seen as a sequel to one of his earlier works on Japan, called Japan: indrukken van land en volk (1917). Van Kol was one of the founders of the Dutch socialist party, the SDAP. Good copy.
