Brown colored paper over boards with black text on spine; minor edge wear, minor wear to head and tail of spine; tips bumped. Color illustrated dust jacket with black and red text on upper and black text on spine; several tears and missing pieces especially to edges. Map end papers. Former owner's name in pencil on front paste down and in ink on half title page. Interior pages clean, unmarked, no highlighting or creases, both color and b&w photographs throughout. The story is about the Thomas' visit to Tibet, the seventh and eighth Americans to be granted permission for this adventure and recorded life in Tibet at that time. They also visited the Dalai Lama and other monks, priests and their monasteries. Binding is tight.
