Sobre este artículo
Baraboo, WI: A. N. Kellogg, 1861. Scarce original editions of these seven+ books/pamphlets, dated from 1861 to 1873, with a dozen or so reports from a local history group, dated from 1872-1890; apparently bound together in 1890 with a brief introduction & comprehensive table of contents. Discusses various aspects of the history of parts of this south-central Wisconsin county; including its original inhabitants & their earthworks; Sauk Prairie & Prairie du Sac; Sumpter; Devil's Lake, lists of birds & indiginous animals; Merrimack; Baraboo & its water-powers; Reedsburg; Excelsior; Scenery of Sauk County; about a dozen Old Settlers' Association of Sauk County reports. Hardcover, full blue cloth as pictured. General wear, spotting & stains to covers, spine a bit more spotted; inner hinges split, but still sound, binder's label (M. C. Hacker, Baraboo) inside cover; some pages badly tanned but not brittle, one section has minor waterstains to the upper page margins. Many penciled checkmarks and a few corrections to pagination in the contents pages. Text clean; about 333 pages, including many ads, illustrations, a few folding maps & charts.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Large Octavo.
