One fine paper, this book features pages of beautiful Sendak illustrations, many of them full page. Faint pencil marking on upper right corner of front free end paper. In bright red cloth, the book is accompanied by the complete dust jacket with the original price of $12.95. Dust jacket shows some wear to the edge. There is a small chip to the back along with a small adhesive label that says "signed" attached across lower spine. Protected by an archival plastic cover.
"Outside Over There" is a children's picture book penned and illustrated by Maurice Sendak, first published in 1981. The tale follows Ida, a young girl entrusted with the care of her baby sister as her father is at sea and her mother preoccupied. A pivotal moment occurs when goblins steal Ida's sister, replacing her with an ice baby. Driven by determination, Ida embarks on a journey to the enigmatic land "Outside Over There."
