Suntup Editions, 2022. Book. Illus. by Jeff Echevarria. Fine. Hardcover. Signed Copy. First Edition/First Printing. A square solid tight clean unread unopened unused copy still in original publisher's shrink wrap. The Artist edition is limited to 750 copies, and is the only edition to feature a wraparound dust jacket illustrated by Jeff Echevarria. It is a smyth sewn, full cloth binding with two-hits foil blocking on the cover. Endsheets are embossed Rainbow paper and the edition is housed in a slipcase covered in 100% cotton cloth with an aqueous acrylic coating. This edition is signed by the artist. THIS COPY IS IN MY POSSESSION AND NORMALLY SHIPS NEXT DAY.
Sinopsis
"The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton is a poignant coming-of-age novel set in the 1960s. It revolves around the lives of two rival gangs, the working-class Greasers and the affluent Socs. The story is narrated by Ponyboy Curtis, a Greaser who grapples with issues of identity and belonging. Through Ponyboy's eyes, the novel delves into themes of social class, friendship, loyalty, and the devastating consequences of violence. When a tragic event occurs, Ponyboy and his fellow Greasers are forced to confront the harsh realities of their existence, challenging their perceptions of the world and their place in it. The Outsiders has been required reading in all the schools I have taught. It's dated, but it can be tied into bullying, which is a hot topic now. It also helps that you can reward the kids with watching the movie after reading the book and taking the AR test.
