Large octavo, very good laminated pictorial dustwrapper (top edge v. slightly worn), original blue cloth, past owner's name and stamp on front endpapers, top corner of front free endpaper clipped, rear paste-down endpaper shows slight damage through removal of sellotape, contents tight, clean and crisp, pp. xii + 657. Numerous detailed line drawings and tables in text, illustrative of details of animal behaviour. Very good condition. A thorough reference work for enthusiasts of comparative ethology, whether professionals or laymen, with a list of contributors that reads like a "Who's who" of the science. .
