Sobre este artículo

London: J. M. Dent & Co, 1904. Cloth. Very Good. 11.5" by 9". Herbert Railton; Fanny Railton. A smart illustrated edition of this history of Oxford. Illustrated with frontispiece, twenty-three tinted lithographic plates, and thirty-five black-and-white plates. Collated complete. A comprehensive historical guide to Oxford, with reference to the origin of the university and the mediaeval student, as well as the castle, some churches, the reformation, Jacobite Oxford, and later. Written by Cecil Headlam, an English first-class cricketer who played for Middlesex and Oxford University. Illustrated by Herbert Railton, an English artist and illustrator, with the lithographs being tinted by Fanny Railton, an English artist. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd handling mark. Light spotting to the first and last few pages and age toning to the endpapers. Library bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good
