It also contains general information for those travelling to the far East. Contents include Notes for a Tour Through India, and Directions for Staff. The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company is still in existence today. It is a British shipping and logistics company originating in the nineteenth century.Includes 11 illustrations on monochrome plates and 9 maps. Collated, complete.With 31 notes pages to the end, blank.Ink inscription dated 1900 from prior owner. In cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The front hinge is starting but firm. Ink inscription dated 1900 from prior owner. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
