Productions was the brainchild of Teddy Powell, who owned a jazz club in Newark. His first season presenting the World Series proved very successful and he was determined to do a second season in1967 and featuring Gloria Lynne, Count Basie, Woody Herman, Dionne Warwick, Jimmy Smith & Organ Trio, Arthur Prysock, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Sarah Vaughan, Dizzy Gillespie, Lou Rawls, Redd Foxx, Nipsey Russell, Flip Wilson, Thelonius Monk, Hank Crawford, and Red Prysock. Planned cities included Pittsburgh, Chicago, Louisville, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Clveland, Buffalo, Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles. Rare promotional booklet with no copies located by Worldcat.
