This biographical work was written by English novelist and writer, Patrick O'Brian, who was best known for his maritime novels. This work was the first complete life of the famous artist Picasso to appear in English, at the time. O'Brian presents the life of Pablo Picasso, showing both his private and public lives, shedding light to his marriages, children, closest friends and his art. With six illustrations, some being of his work and some being photographs. Collated, complete.Ink inscription of Simon Morley, London 1988. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, striking dust wrapper, which has been price-clipped. Externally, lovely, with minor shelf wear and very light bumping to the extremities. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Dust wrapper is very smart, with light edge wear and the occasional mark. Light fading to the spine of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Near Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
