First edition. Illustrated with frontispiece and twenty-two plates, with a total of one hundred and drawings. Collated complete. A detailed account of the author's travels from Paddington to Penzance, through Petersham, Windsor, Hampshire, Winchester, Romsey, The New Forest, Bournemouth, Lulworth Castle, Charmouth, Teignmouth, Dartmouth, Plymouth, and Alverton. Written and illustrated by Charles George Harper, an English author and illustrator of travel books. Bound in half red calf with patterned boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Minor loss to the leather. Fading to the spine and light discolouration to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting predominantly to the first and last few pages. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
