Foreword by author, prelude by Margaret Phillips, bibliography and acknowledgements. Illustrated end pages, both different, the front end page showing indigenous illustration, and on the rear end pages showing a image of Jesus on the cross. Every second page is illustrated with a black and white drawing stop the text has been published on a yellow coloured stock. Beige coloured cloth covered boards with red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip; with, black illustration to the same areas. Blue coloured tint to the top text edge. Illustrated dustwrapper with dark red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. 500 years of south-western American history, from pre-white colonisation to the coming of the Spanish and other people. This book is a Deluxe Edition, one of 1500, and has such a notation to the lower edge of the copyright page – a rubber stamp. Minor rubbing of the book edges with a little bumping of the book corners. The author has inscribed the book on the page following the half title page using a blue coloured marker, which has ghosted to the left hand page. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with fading along the front edge of the front panel and back strip. Foxing along the front and top edges of the front panel and sunning and insect tracks to the back strip. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
