Sobre este artículo

LONDON: HERBERT JENKINS LTD, 1919. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. ****************************************************************************** A NOTE ON CONDITION: Book condition is defined as follows: New = The book is new, as you would expect it from a new bookshop. *** Fine = The book clean and tidy, not inscribed, but does not feel or look new. It may have slight imperfections, minor bumps, pencilled prices on the endpapers etc, but still looks clean, overall. The wrapper may have some slight rubbing, but is not price clipped. *** Near Fine = a step below this.*** Very Good = A book which is obviously secondhand, but is still solid and integral. It does not have leaves missing, but may be rubbed and may have some marking to the cloth. The corners may by a little bumped, for example, and there may be some foxing to some leaves - not detracting from reading, but noticeable. The binding should be tight. It may be creased slightly, but is overall a solid book. The wrapper may be rubbed, and may have nicks or short closed tears. It may also be price clipped. We try to inidcate this in our brief descriptions. *** Good = A book which may be heavily rubbed, with a loose binding. The endpapers, frontispiece or plates may be missing, as may one of the prelims. The wrapper may be nicked, heavily rubbed or have longer tears. It is essentially the same good as is meant by "A Good Reading Copy" - that is, one you can read, though it may be quite "tired" looking. Ex library copies are often Good condition, heavily used and with the front endpaper removed. *** Fair = A step below good. Possibly delicate and with leaves loose, heavily rubbed, but with boards present, though there may be heavy damage to the back strip and heavy rubbing, foxing, inscriptions, etc. There may be loss of plates and prelims. *** Poor + as indicated, possibly not complete (though this will be stated in the description). It may have plates missing, etc. Obviously, the price is affected by condition, and listing all faults on a cheap book is simply not economical. Please check before ordering to avoid disappointment. With cheaper books, please show some common sense. If a book is described as Good or Very Good and is a few pounds or dollars, you are not going to get a pristine copy. If you want better condition order Fine or New copies.
