Sobre este artículo

London: Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge. 1927. Large octavo size [16x24cm approx]. Very Good condition. No dustjacket. Previous owner's details to front free end paper. Fore edge is lightly foxed as are the endpapers. Some very light scattered foxing to some page edges. Illustrated with black and white plates and drawings. Colour frontispiece 253 pages. An examination of the beautiful glass windows of York, created at the time when making fine compositions in coloured glass had reached its highest point. York glass is almost all pot-metal i.e. coloured in the manufacture rather than enamelled and this accounts for its extraordinary brilliance. A lovely book on a fascinating subject.
