Palante: a bilingual newspaper published by the Young Lords Party. Palante focused on the Puerto Rican independence movement, the oppression of Puerto Ricans and other Latinos in the United States, and global struggles for liberation. These a hard to find today. Topics featured within include:"Police Intensify Repression on Puerto Ricans", "All Power to the Soviets", "Chinese People Learn From Them, 'Dare to Struggle, Dare to Win'", "Teachers Fight Effects of the Imperialist Crisis". There are several black and white images of teachers on strike in New York, Chinese employees, Stalin and Lenin, and the Chicano Moratorium. bears library date-stamp.

[2] Palante. Nov. 5 - Dec. 3, 1975 (Vol. 1, No. 11). New York: PRPWO, 1975. Tabloid format newspap ;er, 6 pages each in English and Spanish, with a supplement commemorating the Chicano Moratorium and "Repression on the Working Class and Oppressed Masses". Topics featured within include: "Letter From Federico Cintron Fiallo to PSP", "Lessons of Chile", "Some Trends in the Chicano Movement", "La Raza Unity Party--Political Representative of the Chicano Petty-Bourgeosie", and more.
