Palestine old and new, Jewish and Arab, modern and ancient, urban and rural, in a well selected collection of photographs, many of which are rarely printed elsewhere. Includes very rare air surveillance photographs of Nazareth and Jerusalem, borrowed from the War Archive in Munich, and nicely reproduced here as full-page plates. The cover plate is a painting of the Temple Mount by the Austrian born painter and illustrator Prof. Franz Kienmayer (1886 - 1963). Z-2 OUT
