Sobre este artículo
Np: Privately Printed, 1907. Most probably a pirated edition. Hardcover. Very good. Octavo; pp. x, 166; Frontispiece portrait of the author, twenty additional black and white photographs, illustrating characters and locations from the poems; terra-cotta cloth, lettered in gilt, top edge, gilt;. This book is great fun. Some of the worst rhymes ever contrived with an occasional flash of brilliance. Reflects life in the Canal Zone at the time of construction. The excitement of the challenge, the circumstances of the life there. Other editions are often dedicated to Theodore Roosevelt, this one is not. Also contains an obituary of the author who died at Colon in 1906. The late author was an official for the Panamanian Railway.
