First trade edition, with additional material over that of the limited edition of 1923; 8vo, pp. xvii, [1], 358; folding frontispiece and over 200 illustrations throughout, fine copy in original brown cloth gilt, t.e.g., red morocco label on spine lettered in gilt, without the dust jacket. Standard history of the subject. This copy with a typed letter from Dard Hunter (signed with his Library of Papermaking rubberstamp) laid in. Hunter apologizes for the delay in sending a copy Papermaking and offers copies of A Papermaking Pilgrimage in Japan, Korea and China as another possible book to purchase. He encloses copies two reviews of the book, both of which are present. Also laid in is the original prospectus.
