EDITION LIMITED TO 700 COPIES NUMBER BY HAND (THIS COPY NO. 98). 'Publications of the Naval History Society', vol. VIII. Dallas's journal includes a lengthy account of his participation in support of Governor Stevens and the settlers in Washington Territory during the Indian War of 1855-56 (pp. 197-211). The appendix contains the journal of Lt. Thomas Phelps who also gives a detailed account (pp. 245-292). Smith, 2230.
