Clay County Board of County Commission: Clay County Bicentennial Steering Committee, 1976. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. VG/VG/1st ed. A short inscription to the previous owner(not from the author) on the front free end paper. Jacket is whole but does have some light soiling and some faint foxing. Jacket now covered with a mylar sleeve. Book is tight and clean. Some very light foxing on first three pages with no marking or soiling to interior pages. No breaks in cloth over boards, corners fairly sharp. This copy is probably not a collectible copy but an excellent working copy and will be of service for many years. 311pp., photo section. appendix, footnotes, bibliography, index. Comes to you in an acid free document bag for storage, mailed boxed, and I can have it in the mail tomorrow.

1976 First edition. Illustrated original publisher's cloth. Front panel of dust jacket has small tears at top, foxing, and slight soiling. Book in very good condition with tight binding. A lovely cloth bound book with six tables, six illustrations, and eight maps. One of the tables lists slaveholders in Clay County in 1860. The illustrations include tools used to build cabins, how-to diagrams of building cabins, axes, turning logs into beams and rafts. There are also eight maps in the text.Found in the front of the book is a small notecard, typed inscription inside reads 'Dr. Douglas McKee'.
