Thomas Gobert. 1686, New edition, revised and corrected. Size 16mo, 6" x 3.25", 434 pages plus index. Original binding of full brown calf with five raised bands to the spine with gilt titles in the second and gilt flowers and scrolls in the remaining compartments. Page edges speckled red and black. Condition very good, lacks front free endpaper?, complete other than this, the binding is in excellent condition, the pages are very clean throughout with no toning or foxing. A Paraphrase of the Psalms of David, by Antoine Godeau, set to lovely woodcut musical notation by Thomas Gobert. A very attractive little book.
