The dust jacket shows moderate overall wear plus there is some light edge wear along the top and bottom edges heavier with some chipping on the top and bottom spine edges and corners plus there is a piece (about 0.5"x0.75") missing on the back at the bottom left corner plus there are closed tears (about 0.25" to 0.5") on the top edge at each corner plus there is some yellowing on the spine plus there is some very light rubbing overall plus there is some very light yellowing on the endflaps top edges. He was a reporter during the golden days of American journalism and served as an international correspondent during the years before World War I. In 1915 he shifted to administrative management as a career in public administration, where he had a significant impact on American life. This volume covers the author's early life and work as a journalist up through 1915 when he made the career move to public administration. Indexed, 606p. . First Edition. Hard Cover.
