It is condensed from a stenographic transcript taken down as uttered, and was the concluding talk of a series given in March and April, 1939, at Adelphi College, Garden City, Long Island. The term Passivity is employed with some mischief as "Activity Programs" have become a fetich among progressive educators." (from the book) .
