Several rubber stamps of "H. B. Flett / Skilbister / Table Hill" on endpapers and on plates. A rough working or reading copy only. Not in collectable condition.; viii, 331, [1] pages + frontispiece + 6 of 7 plates + engraved vignette illustrations at head of each chapter. Purple blind-stamped cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration on spine. Page dimensions: 222 x 140mm. Spine title: "New Zealand Past Present and Future". Includes a long chapter on the Maori King Movement.[Bibliographical Reference: Bagnall 5488 - "potpourri seemingly dashed off before the second edition of his Te Ika a Maui".] ; 8vo .
