With forty-four pages of Appendix for the present edition to rear, featuring own title page. With a folding frontispiece map with closed tears, held to frontispiece by minor cloth repair to extremity by a previous owner, may detach with further handling; and eleven further folding maps, ten of which to rear over eight folding sheets. With frontispiece map to the Appendix. Collated, complete. Written by Edward Mogg, London publisher known for his issues of maps and travel guides to London. A complete and comprehensive nineteenth century travel guide. In quarter calf binding over marbled boards. Externally with shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities, chipped to extremities of boards, minor loss to marble covers to boards. Previous ownership pencil inscription to title page and in ink and pencil to front free endpaper, dated 1842. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to occasional leaf, particularly leaves of maps, otherwise pages generally very clean. Good
