The story of a young Chinese revolutionary and his experiences in China and jacpan during a 12 year period of Civil War. Burnt-orange cloth w/gilt outlined panel w/gilt titles, and debossed design within-on spine and front. Very clean and unmarked, slight rubbing of lower edge, tight & solid sewn binding. Rough cut on fore edge and lower edge. Very attractive volume. Endpapers with shadow from something that was inserted at some time. Pages completely clean and unmarked. Shadow down hinge between 188-189 from a laid in leather page marker. 372 pages. 1939, The John Day Company, NY
