New York: M.W. Dodd, 1869. Hardcover. Good. 16mo 6" - 7" tall. Plain worn reddish-brown cloth over boards, bound in octavo format, with 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size. Gilt lettering and design on front cover and spine. Previous owner's name and date 29 -1 '69 on front free endpaper. Internally quite clean and unmarked. The binding shows a small chip missing from head of spine, cracking to rear pastedown, otherwise Very Good. Three full-page brown and white illustrations, including at title page and recto. Protected in a stiff Mylar coat. Probable First Edition, though copyright page says 1868. 178 pp. + 14 pp. of publisher's ads.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
