N.p.: No stated publisher, n.d. [late 19th century]. No stated edition. Soft cover. Good. 7 leaves, comprising title page with line "Eat Scotch Oats" + 6 leaves printed on coated stock. Ca. 5 1/2 x 5 inches. Tied with original gold cord. Cover printed in embossed gold. Front cover fly-specked, back cover soiled. Ca. 1-inch closed tear to title page margin, neatly mended. One of various printings of this poem, issued to advertise Scotch Oats oatmeal. The poem is printed in purple, facing 6 chromolithographed plates of hunting and steeplechase scenes. Two scenes are within embossed botanical borders. They all appear to be English, and none of them has anything to do with the poem. One shows a sidesaddle rider in the hunting field. The plates are all very good and bright. It would have been a pretty gift. Can be sent outside the US for less than the default shipping rate.
