Underlining and notes in each volume. However, the binding is secure across the set. Still attractive on a shelf and in excellent reading condition. The first edition, complete in six volumes. Contains occasional black and white illustrations and foldout maps. Translated with commentary by James Frazer, author of THE GOLDEN BOUGH. This particular set is from the library of Anglican bishop Arthur Cayley Headlam, whose bookplate is inside the front cover of each volume.
