A catalogue of the pedigrees of some two hundred leading winners of horse racing from 1912 to 1929, the second edition dated 1930 from Jisc. The first edition was entitled Pedigrees of 150 Leading Winners 1912-1925, published in 1926.Compiled by L F Birch in alphabetical order, it comprises pedigrees arranges under the families of Bruce Lowe and in Tail-Male family groups, with index and a preface. With information on a selection of two hundred leading winners, and some leading Sires of winners from 1899 to 1929. In the original publisher's full limp morocco binding. Externally generally sound with a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, and some minor rubbing to the extremities of the boards. A minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine. Previous ownership to the front free endpaper, John Lambton. Internally, the binding is firm. The pages are bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
