This is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of the First Authorized American Edition, published in conjunction with Walter Scott of London. The (authorized) translation is by William and Charles Archer. Green cloth binding, ruled and titled in gilt on the front cover, with a facsimile Ibsen signature; gilt titling on the spine. Clean text; xxii, 287 pages, with Appendix and sixteen pages of publisher's adverts in the rear; top-edge is gilt. Mildly bumped, with some light rub to the margins of the spine; gift inscription (1904) in ink on the FFEP. The front hinge is starting to crack, but holding nicely. A solid copy of this signature work by the Norwegian master.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
