Pristine first edition of this biography of the colorful Kansas City political boss (1873-1945). Boldly inscribed and signed in black ballpoint on half-title page by Hulston and also signed by Larsen: "To Rob Martensen, / With the best wishes / of the authors, / Sincerely, / Nancy J. Hulston / & / Lawrence H. Larsen / Christmas 1997." Copies signed by both authors (Larsen died in 2018) are seldom seen.
