Fifty-three illustrations by Charles E. Brock. 176 pages. VOLUME II - Penelope's Progress - Being Such extracts from the Commonplace Book of Penelope Hamilton as relate to her Experiences in Scotland. Olive green cloth boards with gold decoration and lettering on cover and spine. Spots of wear to spine corners. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with gilt page edges. Inscribed and signed by the author on front free endpaper: "Give me Queen's weather, dear Sun, and shine a benison upon my wedding-morn! - Last page - Kate Douglas Wiggin." (She is quoting a line from the last page). Frontis illustration with clean tissue guard; fifty-five illustrations by Charles E. Brock. Date on title page MDCCCCI (1901). 301 pages..
