The text is illustrated with 163 photographs in black-and-white taken by the author. Cream-coloured cloth covered boards with blue coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dustwrapper with white coloured titles to the front panel. At the height of the Cold War Henri Cartier-Bresson, a world renowned photographer, was given a visa to travel to Moscow. This book is his photographic essay on the people of Moscow of that time. Softening of the back strip edges and rubbing of the top corner and lower book edges. Age toning and very fine foxing to the text block edges. Age toning of the pages with foxing to the first few and last few pages of the book. Rubbing, small chips and tears to the dustwrapper edges and the rear spine gutter crease is chipped and split. This fading of the back strip and a little rubbing of the panels. Now protected.
