Boards are red with gold gilt lettering on spine. Corners are rubbed. Volume has a full-color lithograph of "The Dutch Surrender New Amsterdam Sept. 8, 1664", with onion paper covering, in front of the title page, and many fine-detailed black and white drawings throughout. Book is Volume ONE (only) of the six volume set. Pages are complete and intact, but page block is separating from spine; needs re-gluing. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. .
