Octavos (9" x 6"), variously paginated, with occasional illustrations in text from art work, & a full page photographic portrait of the editorial staff in the March, 1918 issue. Original stapled, printed & decorated stiff paper wraps.

Moderate edge wear, brief evidence of bio-predation affecting the rear cover of one issue, scattered foxing mostly at or adjacent to the frontis portrait, light soiling & toning, otherwise Good or better.

"The students publish a magazine known as "The Stylus." All its departments are conducted by student editors, elected by the Literary Societies. It is made up each month by contributions from the young men and young women of the college. A medal is offered by the South Carolina College Press Association for the best contribution in any of the college magazines. "The Stylus," of Newberry, has won this medal two years in succession … The Stylus carries an interesting department of alumni notes and events. A large number of former students and graduates in this manner keep abreast with the current history of their Alma Mater, for only one dollar a year."
