New York: American Tract Society, 1850. Hardcover. 248p., 6.1 x 4 inch dark cloth boards extensively decorated in blind and gilt. An eighth-inch strip of cloth is torn away at top of spine, otherwise foxed and mildly dim and edgeworn. Comparison with an unabridged version shows about a third of the text excised. Published postumously; a brief biographical note suggests C.E.T. died of breast cancer.
