Sobre este artículo

New York/London: The Macmillan Company, 1906. Stoker writes in his Preface that he knew the great actor/manager for three decades (having worked with him, starting in 1878). It is assumed that Irving served as the inspiration for Stoker's "Dracula" - perhaps an unwanted legacy. This memoir was published a year after Irving's death.. Very Good copies of the First American Edition. Two volumes, large and heavy octavos. Red cloth binding, ruled on the front cover, with Irving's profile in gilt. Titling and ruling in gilt on the spine. Clean texts with top-edge gilt, others rough-cut. Volume One is xiii, 372 pages; colour frontis illustration and 17 others within. Volume Two is vii, 385 pages, indexed; with a frontis illustration and 17 others within. Top edges are gilt; others rough-cut. Light bumping, with wear to the head and foot of the spines. Volume Two has some small black spots on the spine (ink?) and some scuffing on the rear. . First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
