Charles Scribner's Sons, 1922. Hardcover. Very Good. Rick Detorie. EARLY edition of classic, with 1922 date on title page. (1904 was first edition). A near Very Good volume, no jacket. Faded spine title. Paste front has several micro scrapes and green cloth has two blemishes on front. Sixteen (16) full color plates by the master, Arthur Rackham; two are detached and laid in at proper place, and one partially detached. Green cloth, worn corners with frayed crown and foot cloth. A previous owners short holiday gift inscription on both front and rear end paper (dated 1924.) Scattered moderate foxing, more so to prelims. A lovely early edition. 126 pages. Protected in a mylar slip.
