Original Slipcase, as issued. 103pp. Introduction. An excellent study of the important records of the activities, travel, exploration, and fur trade development efforts of this important, and somewhat controversial, early fur trader and explorer. Peter Pond, a native of Connecticut, spent many years on the northern Mississippi and throughout western Canada in the 1760's-1780's. Small spot on upper edge of front and rear panels, and a few scattered light spots on cloth spine. Modest wear to edges of map chemise, maps in fine condition. Original slipcase lightly rubbed.
