Sobre este artículo

New York, NY: Moses King, 1902 Rebound in green book cloth with the original cover cloth laid over the newer binding. Newer binding has light edge wear. Original old cloth laid over front, spine and back is moderately worn, so the book retains its original appearance but now has a strong, tight binding with new end papers. Attractive gilt and black cover design. Owner's name label inside. Internal content is generally quite clean and free of marks, but has a few small, minor and widely scattered smudges. Old tape repair on page 105/106 of the index. The volume opens with a short historical and descriptive sketch of Philadelphia, then is divided into two parts. The first part is about notable Philadelphians which runs from page 15 to 112. This contains 1560 portraits of living and deceased Philadelphians of note. The second part, King's Views, begins with new page numbering from 1 to 102 with photography of important buildings, businesses, churches and historic structures, then finishes with a long photo sequence of prestigious homes in and around Philadelphia. This second part contains nearly 600 period photos. Excellent black & white photography. A detailed index of images is provided. Size: Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall
