This is a stated first edition of The Philby Scandal, a chronicle written by three journalists, introduced by John Le Carre, and published in 1968. It tells the story of one of the greatest spy scandals of all time: The Cambridge Five, aka The Cambridge Spy Ring, were five young students who were recruited by the Soviet Union to become spies. Four went on to have successful careers in the British government, one became the chief art historian for the Queen, and all passed vast amounts of information to the Soviets. Three fled to the USSR. It is thought that many others were involved.
This book is 300 pages, including a few pages of photos.There is a little bit of wear to the dust jacket (unclipped).
Aside from some darkening of the paper, the book itself is pristine.
