Sobre este artículo

London: Raven Oak Press, 1979. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good Indeed. 8.5" by 6.5". None. A very smart edition of this illustrated work on British architect, Philip Webb. This biography first appeared as a series of articles in The Builder in 1925, it was then reprinted unchanged by the Oxford University Press in 1935. This new edition includes corrections and previously unpublished materials. The life and work of Philip Webb, a British architect and designer known as the Father of Arts and Crafts Architecture. Illustrated throughout with forty-two plates. Collated complete. Written by William Richard Lethaby, an English architect and architectural historian whose ideas were highly influential on the late Arts and Crafts and early Modern movements in architecture. From the library of Doctor Malcolm Higgs, an important architectural historian who worked as an assistant architect to Stirling & Gowan, working on their particularly renowned Leicester University Engineering Laboratory. During his long career he taught at the University of Edinburgh School of Architecture, Canterbury School of Architecture, and University of Nottingham. Later in his life he was the Vice-President and Honorary Librarian of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and contributed and edited the "Journal of Architecture". In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Near Fine
