Sobre este artículo

London, England: Abbé Breuil Publications, 1957. First Edition . Quarter-leather. Fine/No Jacket. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. Small folio, 14.5 x 11 inches. Of this edition of Philipp Cave, Vol. II, 1,330 copies have been printed of which 130 have been bound in quarter niger and numbered I-110 and i-xx. This is copy number 101 and is signed by the author/publisher. The goatskin leather is medium brown. Crisp gilt-stamped lettering of the author, title and publisher to the spine. The boards bound in a handsome beige linen (or linen-like) fabric. The binding is exceptionally clean; scarcely a hint of soiling. The text was printed by Spottiswoode, Ballantyne & Co., London and Colchester. The photographs were reproduced by collotype, and the drawings by collotype and hand-stencil process, by Hourdebaigt, Trianon Press (France) and Beaufumé, in Paris. Unbumped spine head and tail and with sharp corners. Deckled fore edge and bottom edge to a handsome effect. Arches pure rag moulded paper. Color frontispiece, with vi and 21 numbered pages of text, and with XXVII plates and with photograph figures a to f and 1 to 17. With original tissue guards present. The book is exceptionally clean, almost crisp. Probably unread or else very gently read. A Fine copy.

Sobre Marc Sena Carrel

I deal principally in rare and fine books. I also sell antique prints, including Japanese ukiyo-e. I have eclectic and wide-ranging interests and my collection generally emphasizes art titles. Areas of book specialization include: Art, Architecture, Design, Antiques, Antiquities, Small Press/Fine Press. As for prints, I am chiefly interested in ukiyo-e, ornithologicals, iconography and churches. I have a small but choice selection of books and prints available for the discriminating collector/buyer. My goal is to establish and maintain a stock in trade of a few thousand fine books and a few hundred noteworthy prints.
