Michael who was a Moravian Missionary working in the Kuskokwim Valley in the 1930's. Religion, Alaska, Eskimo Language ; Thin 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 103 pages .

Author's photo on the frontis of this second of his three volume autobiography. The green cloth cover boards are showing some wear on the corners. The dust jacket in a mylar cover is unclipped and has some chips on the top and bottom of the spine. The binding is secure and the text block is clean, unmarked mildly foxed. There is an "A" and the publisher's colophon on the publication page. 187 pp

Rare/collectible. This is a first edition copy of James Jerome Gibson's famous book. The cover shows a bit of age and some fade on the spine (see pictures for condition) but otherwise the book is in good condition. The prior owner's name is written on the front leaf but the main text is completely clean. No dust jacket.

Condition of the book is Very Good Plus. The binding is straight and sound. Inside pages are complete and unmarked.
Condition of the dust jacket is Good. The DJ is complete, not price clipped. It shows moderate chipping along the spine. The spine is also slightly sun darkened. That said, it displays well in a new mylar cover.

This book is in very good condition. There is minimal to no wear on the front, back and spine of the cover boards. There is no wear on the edges and some slight bumping on the top of the spine corners.The previous owners name is written on the inside of the front cover board and his stamp is affixed ro the front end page. It's not ofter that you find two original volumes published / printed in 1726. Overall, these titles are in V Good condition and 100% legible ( albeit with Olde English spelling ) The titles are leather bound (spines and corners) with printed board covers.
A previous owner has pasted additional pages at the start of Volume 1 and pasted various newspaper clippings and hand written texts relevant to the themes of Mr Toland dated through the 1800's further enhancing the value of the set.
John Toland (30 November 1670 – 11 March 1722) was an Irish rationalist philosopher and freethinker, and occasional satirist, who wrote numerous books and pamphlets on political philosophy and philosophy of religion. Born in Ireland, he was educated at the universities of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leiden and and was influenced by the philosophy of John Locke.
