HC in original blue cloth with titles in gilt to spine and a single red rule to upper board with gilt motif centered. Bevel edged boards rubbed at extremities; mild fray to cloth at spine ends. Binding shaken with tender hinges and partial splits to endpages in the gutters. Mild dampstaining to endpages; a few notes penciled to front flyleaf. One signature starting mid-book; fleeting instances of pencil bracketing observed in text. Uncommon in the original edition. Good only .
