Sobre este artículo

Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press, 1979. First Edition. Near Fine/Very Good+. First edition. Signed by Richard Rorty on front free endpaper, inscribed under his nickname to former owner, likely fellow Princeton Philosophy professor James Ward Smith, in the year of publication, "For Jim Merry Christmas! [signed] Dick 20/12/79." xvi, 402 pp. Publisher's green cloth, spine blocked in darker green with metallic green and gilt lettering; publisher's single page "Corrigenda to the First Printing" laid in. A very personal inscription. Slightly bumped corners, else Fine, in an attractive, bright dust jacket with a few light dampstains, most visible on back panel.

Rorty's best-known work, widely considered one of the most important philosophical works of the 20th century. Rare thus.

Sinopsis

Philosophy and the Mirror of Nature is a famous and controversial work by American philosopher Richard Rorty. In this book, Rorty attempts to dissolve so-called philosophical problems instead of solving them by showing that they are in fact pseudo-problems that only exist in the language-game of Analytic philosophy. In a pragmatist gesture, Rorty claims that philosophy must get past these pseudo-problems if it is to be productive.
